HRLHA’s Urgent Appeal

HRLHA has confirmed details of victims who were pulled out from Ambulance and mercilessly beaten, and stabbed to death on March 21, 2021. The victims were wounded in a clash occurred earlier that day and taken to the Hospital for further treatment. They were ten in number and the attack was committed in the compound of Yifat Hospital located in Shewa Robit town. All of the victims were civilians and residents of different villages of Jile Tumuga district, Oromo Special Zone of Amhara Regional State. HRLHA’s source verified that the perpetrators were local informal youth grouping named as “Fanno”. As follows is detail of the victims:

Note: The victims mentioned on numbers 7 and 8 are respectively Father and Son.
HRLHA has also confirmed that 59 people have been killed and 114 have been injured and hospitalized by the attack of Amhara Special Force on March 20 and 21 in Jille Tumuga District, Ataye, and the surrounding villages. Furthermore, Over 80,000 mostly children and women have been displaced and sheltered in two schools namely Lugo and Balachi high schools (40,000 each) located in the same district, that is, Jille Tumuga.
